1-Egg Breakfast Special

Ramen Lunch

Chicken Stew

This was the most bland meal we ate during the week. The juice from the chicken made some difference but we needed a bit more. I hadn’t made it to Save-A-Lot and margarine can add quite a bit of flavor. I did have Joanie bring home some free salt and pepper packages from work. This just fit within our rules- no one gave them to us and we didn’t have to pay a thing for them. These items would help for the rest of the week...

   Wednesday

Breakfast

2- Eggs, cooked to order

2- Slices of toast

1- Potato

½ Package of Ramen beef seasoning

Me and Joanie both had our eggs over medium so we could dunk our toast in the yolk. We ate the toast dry; I had not made it to Save-A-Lot for margarine. We cut the potato into thin slices and fried it in a iron skillet on high with 1/3 cup of water mixed with the Ramen seasoning. We let the water boil out and flavor the potato- it was very good.

Lunch

2- Ramen Noodle Soup Packages

We both took our Ramen Noodle to work with us. Joanie had a full packet of seasoning, I had to suffer with a ½ package so we’d have beef flavor for our potato. I’m not bitter or anything ...

Dinner

1- Chicken leg quarter

1½- Carrots

3- Potatoes

2- quart of water

2- Cups of cooked rice

This is our one crock pot meal. I put it on before I left for work and over cooked it some. The juices form the chicken helped flavor the stew and I took the meat off the bone after it was cooked. We cut the carrots and potatoes into chunks and just let tem cooked. There was enough her to have left-overs.
