Our final day! We made it one whole week. However, this was the day we confessed our sins to one another.

I admit, I am an addict. I just could not stay away for an entire week. I had to have it. I craved it. My first fix was at Office Max. I found my vice over by their copy center. The one thing they didn’t charge for. I had to put up with the powdered cream but I had been through worse. The black liquid was luke warm but I could feel the caffeine coursing through my blood. My eyes widen my heart beat faster. I would come up with a reason every day for why I needed to go to Office Max.

Joanie’s vice was a gift given to her from her brother. He gave it to her for Christmas. We both ate a few of them a couple days before the week began. These were pretzels. But not just any pretzels, these were pretzels covered in chocolate. Not just any chocolate but Maley’s Chocolate. The best place to buy chocolate in all of Cleveland, Ohio. Joanie opened the box of her brother’s pretzels the last day of our week- there remained but one pretzel. She could not stay away from her chocolate...

Despite our sins, we did prove our premise, we can live on $1.00 per day if necessary. Hopefully, this won’t become necessary.

Ode to the Ramen Noodle Soup-

On Ramen Noodle we shall dine

It is a lunch that is quite divine

But now that the week it thru

We shall have no more of you

Dinner

Chicken and Rice Soup

1- Chicken leg quarter

1½- Carrots

1- Quart of water

2- Cups of cooked rice

We made the soup by simply putting the Chicken and carrots in the quart of water and simmering until it was all cooked. We put the cooked rice in the bowl and dumped the soup over top. This prevents the rice from overcooking. This soup tasted good but I was looking forward to opening up our cupboards for our next meal and using any seasoning I could get my hand on...
